SYNOPSIS
Poppy is a short film inspired by Claudia Franck and her book “Morph”.
Film surrounds Claudia, a lonely woman, living in a rundown caravan park, finding escape from her bleak life and past abuse through a passionate affair with the mysterious and alluring Poppy. As their relationship deepens, tensions rise—especially when Claudia’s mother grows suspicious. When Poppy’s true nature begins to surface, Claudia spirals into emotional turmoil. A near-fatal incident and a flash-forward to Claudia in prison reveal the toxic, co-dependent nature of Claudia herself. As she reflects with a parole officer, the painful truth about Poppy—and herself—comes to light.
This gripping drama blends the bitterness of real life and fantasy that we create when we give up to it. Poppy builds a suspenseful mystery, blurring the lines between reality and illusion as it unveils Claudia’s secrets exploring love, addiction and identity.

As well as being an accomplished actress Iveta is also passionate about storytelling and filmmaking. Since expanding her creative and business skills working for multiple broadcasters and streamers (BBC, HBO, Sky, Netflix, C4) and gaining experience as an executive producers’ assistant on Showtime TV Series “Billions”SpyC is her first producing debut.
